Modular, responsive content
Each and every module developed with this project is a responsive and reusable component. I wanted to take this modular approach with the project to open the community up for future development and growth. The responsive nature of the modules also allowed us to significantly cut development costs of mobile due to the reusability of components.
Visit The CommunityUser on-boarding
One of the goals of this project was to get users in the door and present them with an enjoyable experience, minimizing the chance of confusion and frustration. To help this, we created a reusable education engine that walks users through the most important areas of the site.
Goal Setting Wizards
It’s difficult to know how to set your goals or where to start. For this reason, we created a goal setting wizard to easily walk users through setting weight and body fat goals. The wizard was taken from countless research sessions and uses advanced mathematical computations to give the user the best possible estimation for goal setting and achievement.
The user selects their current stats and where they would like to be. Many beginners don’t know how to measure body fat so we built in educational prompts that help the user estimate where they are, so they know how much they can improve and by when.
Information Architecture
With this project, hundreds of pages were first inventoried and then assessed as to whether or not they could be condensed or eliminated altogether. The elimination and consolidation of “junk” pages not only allows the user to better find what they are looking for but also allows reduce the amount of information sprawl and helped clean up the taxonomy.
